Jambalaya Park

This Saturday morning Jesse and I both decided to get up early and head to the Jambalaya park so the boys can play in the water. Needless to say they had a blast. I had taken the boys there once last summer but this was Jesse's first time to go. Here are some pictures:

This is a pretty good picture of what the whole water part of the park looked like.

Took some time for Jackson to get used to the idea of getting wet, but once he did he had a blast!

Now, Ben on the other hand ran off the second we got there and every once in a while we would catch a glimpse of him running by.

Random Pictures

So, since I haven't blogged in a while there are so many pictures and things happening that you don't know about. So let me catch you up.

Cordell came home from Iraq and we were all really excited. Above is a picture of him and and his girlfriend Misty after he got off the plane. To say it was an emotional experience is putting it lightly. As the soldiers were getting off the plane the band started to play. Bobby Jindal was there to greet them and then they got to come over and see their families. Some of them had young children there ready to greet them. What got me though was as soon as Rene saw Cordell he ran up to him and wrapped his arms around his waste and just started crying. That just about broke me. I was crying like a baby and it wasn't pretty. Cordell we are so glad you are back home with us and so proud of what you did over there!

These are the first cherry tomatoes out of my garden. Aren't they beautiful?
How can you say no to this face?

Ben and Rene giving us their best crazy faces.

Rene holding the toy we got him for his birthday. Isn't he just handsome?

Noah with his birthday cake all over his face.

Jackson looking all happy because he just loves to sing Happy Birthday. Anytime he sees a candle or a fire he starts singing it.

Rene the day of his baptism. We are so very proud he made the decision to get baptised.

Ben made this hat at school and what is really going on in this picture is Jackson wanting it really bad so Ben is trying to hold him still while his daddy takes the picture.

Jackson cracks me up with his faces. The ones above are some of my favorites. He is so animated!

Jackson loves to play with his blocks in the bathtub and everytime puts them in a row.

This is one of the beautiful Alaskan Huskies that live next door. Jesse took such a beautiful picture of it.

I've Been Tagged

Well lately I haven't been posting anything. Mainly because I can't think of anything to write, or by the time I can actually sit down to write something I am to tired. But, my friend Naomi tagged me on her blog so I will do that and hopefully this will get me back on track.

Anywho....

5 things I was doing 5 years ago
  • Just bought a new house
  • Got a promotion at the bank
  • Put Ben in daycare and hated it! He cried every morning. I cried every morning.
  • Started investigating different churches and getting really worried b/c we came across some crazy stuff, either that or on the days we were visiting they were having an off day. I'm not going to name names.
  • Went back to school.

5 things I will do tonight.

  • pick up my son from his grandmothers and visit for a while.
  • make husband and sons lunches for tomorrow.
  • balance checkbook and double check budget for the next month.
  • read book with Jackson and get in some cuddle time.
  • Ignore that my house is a mess and put it off until tomorrow b/c I am not babysitting.

5 things I would do with a million dollars

  • tithe (of course)
  • pay off all debt
  • buy family members houses or pay of current mortgages (and hook a few friends up)
  • car
  • invest

5 places I have lived

  • Jefferson Terrace Sub. BR
  • Chateau Dijon, BR
  • In Laws, BR
  • Regency Club, BR
  • House in Denham

Hopefully one of these days I can put somewhere out of state.

5 jobs I have had

  • Albertsons, bag girl (really when I think about it, I would never let my daughter do a job so dangerous! I could have been shoved in a car and kidnapped. I did have a few older guys stalk me in the parking lot. Creepy)
  • Micheals, cashier, cashier manager
  • Source Bidco, loan closing
  • Fidelity Bank, cashier, CSR, Manager
  • Stay at home mom. Yes this is a job too!

5 things I want to be doing in 5 years

  • In school or teaching.
  • Maybe, and I really mean maybe have another little one.....maybe a girl? Just putting it out there. If it happens it happens.
  • Super duper in shape. I would like to do some races for cures.
  • Lets see, Ben will be 12 and Jackson will be 8 so I am hoping that I will be dragging them around to all of their practices and doing positive things with them.
  • Hope that Jesse will be atleast almost done with school.

We shall see!
