Whats Happening

Wow, now that I have facebook, I barely post on this one and I seem to find myself not having time to post on the other one either. Anywho, just a brief update on what has been going on in the Mallory household.

I have been hanging out with Jackson, my partner in crime...... he commits many more crimes than I do. Yes, he is the boss of me.

Ben has been having a wee bit of trouble in school with his socializing. He is a very popular and funny kid and that is getting in the way of his teachers lessons. Lucky for me she told me that he is the most polite kid she ever met and he is always first to finish his classwork and gets it right. So I am thinking that maybe he is bored, but just in case I have changed a few things that he eats to make sure he is not getting all jacked up on sugar. He gets kinda crazy when that happens.

Jesse is working hard at school and recently checked his grades for some papers he wrote for his English class and has all A's. Really his papers are awesome and I love to read them. His teacher even asked him if it was ok to use one of his papers as an example in one of her future classes. He was so stoked! I am just so proud that he is able to handle everything and work long hours. He always impresses me.

So, lets see.......oh, my friend Kimberly found out today that she is having a wee little girl! Congratulations to you guys! Since I only have boys I will just have to spoil her little darling. I am sure she won't mind. =)

Jesse's brother Cordell is coming home from Iraq the beginning of April and we are all so very excited! We have missed him so much and am so proud of everything he has done over there.

My nephew Rene is getting baptised this weekend and Jesse is going to do the honors. We are super excited for him!

And last but not least, we are going to be trying our hand at a vegetable garden within the next month or two. Any tips and advice would be appreciated. I think we are going to start out with potatoes, squash, and tomatoes.

So that is what is happening over in our neck of the woods. I hope all of you are happy and healthy!

We tried a veg. garden 2 years ago, but it didn't go very well at all, so I probably shouldn't give any advice :(

Our backyard is mostly really hard clay. We bought several bags of humus and topsoil, put it down, and tilled it in with the dirt in the backyard, but it wasn't enough. Our plants couldn't get their roots in deep enough and it kind of stunted their growth.

We bought some timbers so that we could build a box, but we haven't put it together yet. I hope we can get it put together for a small garden this spring Good luck with yours. I can't wait to see how it goes. Maybe if yours turns out well you can teach me how :)

lots of wonderful, exciting things happening!
I'll always remember having Ben as one of my sunbeams. He would give me weekly updates about how you were doing with your pregnancy since I was pregnant too. He was so excited about being a big brother. And I loved the time when we were talking about Jesus and I asked him a question and he replied "I have a spiderman..." It was so random and had nothing to do with anything, but it was so cute!

So happy for Jess doing well in school. Give him a hug from me :) Also, good news about Cordell. I know he is anxious to get home and the family are anxious to have him home. I read some of his comments on facebook - it's humor about sand - lol - lots of sand I'm sure :)

Your boys are sweeties and they are super smart. Jesse has always been super smart. Probably a wise move on the food selections. Gosh, I wish I was there to be a part of your life :)

So happy that Jess got to baptize Rene. Just happines all around :)

Love to all!
