Cookies and Root Beer

There is a 'line in the sand' that i used to swear i didnt cross but someone drew behind me. I identified it when i realized that i have forgotten what i did before kids. But it turnes out im not missing much.

I worked this morning and afterwards got the fastest haircut ever. I tested the speedlimits to get home, shower and visit some motorcycle rally, show, vender row, in downtown Baton Rouge. I had Cheries blessing to just shower and run but before i knew it i had Ben dressed and headed for the door with me.

Its somewhat habit anyway but having the kids (or atleast one) with me makes everything more fun. When we got there it was uninteresting to Ben and just as much to me. So we just explored the building and took turns taking goofy pictures of eachother. A few escalator rides later we went in search for lemonade. Cookies and root beer at PJ's coffe shop was just as satisfying. Now brimming with energy we stormed over to the Shaw Center for the Arts. A little for the art but mostly for the balconys and elevators.

If i had gone alone there is no way i would have had such a wonderful day. I sat back and watched him strike up quality conversations with employees and take hilarious pictures of them. (i wonder if i did that it would work... no they may involve the police) Looking at the pictures he took made me laugh because they were all from his height looking up and really close to people and of their computer screen and files and telephones and door handles. That reminds me, i need to erase the ones he took of their open email accounts- hahahahahaha!

I'll fully own up to jumping over that 'line in the sand'. I would be missing too much if i hadnt.
